I love this blower now but it came with some frustration.
I want to start this review with a very important tip for anyone experiencing frequent clogging and snow not being thrown very far. Make sure that the auger cable is not loose at all and pretty tight. You may have to adjust as I did to make it tighter. When I first used this blower I checked to make sure the auger was engaging. It was spinning and everything looked fine. I took it out to tackle about four inches and was very disappointed. It was clogging constantly and hardly blowing the snow at all. I was about to throw in the towel and return it. The auger was spinning so I was very confused what the problem was. I checked the book as a last ditch effort and saw that the auger cable needs to be fairly taught to engage the auger and impeller fully. I had been using it without the auger and impeller running at full speed!!! I adjusted the cable to make taught and took it back out with my fingers crossed. Lo and behold, it worked like a dream!!! I was so excited I called my wife down to try it as she had been watching me struggle with it earlier. That adjustment made all the difference and was kinda buried in the manual so I wanted to share.
As far as performance I have never owned a snowblower but it works great for my 2 car driveway that is on a slight incline. It can easily handle 4" snow on full speed no problem and cut my time to clear driveway to about a third of what it used to take. It clogged once at the end of driveway when i tried to clear the slushy mess left by the plows but that was expected. I haven't had the chance to use on anything more than 3-4 inches but I'm guessing it will perform even better in deeper snow. I'm actually hoping for more snow, and if you knew me you would know that means I really like this thing. Shipping went fine and assembly is pretty straight forward. Don't forget to add oil before you start!!

Nice company and product. Ordered thru Amazon. Free delivery was made to my door, the packaging was unmarred. Assembly was easy and it started right up. I called Power Smart requesting extra belts and shear pins (great customer service) and these parts arrived the same day the thrower was delivered. Five years from now when a belt breaks there will be several feet of snow here, I don't want to be awaiting parts. I picked up a half qt of oil prior to delivery. The Allegany Front in Almost Maryland gets lots of snow each year.
I did my research and for the life of me I do not know why a Craftsman is significantly more expensive. Both machines are made in China. The DB7659A 22" seems like allot more machine that the cheapest Craftsman.
Today it is snowing heavily and it worked great. My neighbors have a 24 inch Craftsman and a 26 Toro, the smaller size of the 22" makes it easier to use for this old guy with a tricky back.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1XRCM8PCKM8ZP About 24 hrs after placing the order for the snow blower I received an email from the seller with a tracking # and a downloadable manual. The 6 page manual explains how to put the blower together and maintain the 208cc engine. Knowing that 5-30 car oil was needed was helpful because I didn't have any and was able to start removing snow asap.
The delivery process was excellent, a pleasant woman from the freight company called asking if someone would be able to except the blower between 9am and 11am the next day. That morning the same woman called at 9am saying the driver would be arriving at 10:30. The driver called at 10:40 saying he was outside the house, the two of us unloaded the box into the garage.
The snow blower comes mostly per-assembled, just had to add the 5-30 oil, bolt the handle bars in place, install 2 small skid plates and the discharge chute. In about 20 min the Powersmart snow blower was removing 14 inches of snow, some of the drifts and where the city plowed was over 3 feet. Ive used the blower three times in the last six weeks, each time it starts right up and does what its supposed to do, makes removing snow a lot easier than shoveling.
Im very happy with my purchase, removing snow from my 30' x 65' driveway and 50' x 3' foot walkway has become a lot easier. One bit of advice is change the oil after the first two hours of use as the manual instructs. I was able to see little metal particles in the used oil. I shot a 3 min video on Feb 9th showing the Powersmart removing 12 inches of snow from the night before. The wind blew the snow around so some spots were about 6" and drifts of 18" by the top of the driveway.
