By Bryan Lau Photography
Ok, I have come to learn that husqavarna is a reliable brand. I own a chainsaw and a blower by them and have never had any issues at all. So, naturally, when I decided to buy a snow-blower for this years snowmageddon in Central Ohio - I opted for a husqavarna. This blower chomped through the snow like noboby's business. I really like the enclosed ature/design of the blower as it makes it look much more like an appliance however - that doesn't affect the use very much apart from keeping snow and moisture outside of the blower.
All in all, I put the oil in as directed, added the gas and that was it. Started right up and this things was awesome. I highly recommend this brand of blower.

My brother has a bad back and i thought this would help!! I've never seen or heard him so thrilled w/ a gift! He's still raving about it a week later and has cleared all the sidewalks and driveways in sight. The electric start is terrific. He had one w/o one and complained about how he had to re-start it all the time. And the headlights just make it extra special. it's top grade!!

By Jim
I bought this machine last year from a local dealer($550). I used it twice last year and once so far this year. The 1st thing I did was order some extra replacement skid plates. I took off the original skid plate(beefed-up orange rugged hard plastic) and put on one of the replacement skid plates(black soft plastic) just to make sure they fit and worked. I did 1st snow removal this way. Machine seemed to clear light snow okay...but this was not a real test. I then put back on original skid plate and did second light snowfall. I was very disappointed. Machine offered no extra pull and I was forced to push machine with much resistance. That was the only 2 snowfalls we had last year in Michigan. So I put the machine away for the year. This year(2012) I pulled it out again and just did 1st snowfall. Machine just won't pull itself through the snow. I have to wrestle with it just to get it to move along. I have now removed again the original skid plate and put on the flimsier replacement plate and am waiting for another snowfall. I think Husqvarna bought-out Poulan and tried to re-engineer their machine(if you check around the web you will see they look just alike), and part of the re-engineering was the beefier skid plate(which is causing the problem). I hope. The engine works great and starts on the 1st pull(don't really need the electric start feature). I like the upper location of the oil fill and dip stick. The L.E.D. lights are bright and a real plus(but unfortunately the left side bank is already flickering on and off). If I had it to do over I would buy American and buy the Toro(even though it has a slightly smaller engine) 'top of the line' and pay the extra $200. I'm hoping the replacment skid plate will solve the effort problem...making this machine easier to move along through the snow!! Jim .... Update Jan 26 2013...just used machine after light snowfall...started with one pull...suspicions confirmed...machine now works fine, but left bank lights not working....will change rating from 1 to 3 stars
